Okay I want to get the opinions of all of you here.
What do you think about what's happening at E-fiction.org?
I want your honest opinions on what's happening over there and what you think about it.
And also NO ONE should flame anyone for posting their opinions even if you don't agree with them.
Thanks

I don't really know...I can understand why the admin makes rules...I think some people just don't read them good enough or just don't wanna understand them....so yeah...it sucks...but I will just follow and see where the site goes...

Well, I think certain author-type-people are over reacting, while certain admins are getting a bit rule happy.
The whole e-morons thing... Well, people are really over reacting to that whole thing... It's getting quite annoying... Insulting, it was, but it really is quite abnoxious the way people are reacting to it.
Let's cross that out.
It's down right infuriating.

Well, I'm one of those author's that probably 'overreacted' a little about the E-Morons thing and now I regret it but I'm to stubborn to go back to the site and I refuse to. I don't want to be like all those other people who said they were leaving and then didn't. What really set me off though was Ala's essay. I liked Ala up until the point that I reviewed for that and she plainly told me that I probably had no place at E-fiction. I'm sorry if I'm overreacting but that was the first thing that set me off. I swallowed it down though and kept going and I guess the E-Moron thing with the banner was just probably just the straw that broke the cammel's back. Anyways, is this really my opinion? I agree with Sin about the certain admins getting rule happy part. I followed all of the rules and everything but still I got...like...two strikes against my account somehow and I don't know how! I really don't...hmm... I really hope that everyone will take my opinion (Is this even an opinion?!! ) lightly and not dwell on it to much because like one of my least favorite teachers told me once "Kali is just someone who rides the fence. She never gives an opinion because she doesn't want to upset anyone. I hate people like that!" Yeah. Well, that quote was just telling you that usually I don't agree or disagree or anything and now I'm just down right ranting! Peace out and lata! Signed, KarenaWilliams (a.k.a. Kali)

You all made good points and I understand them all. I really didn't even know about the E-Morons banner for a while but it really didn't bother me that much because I just thought who ever did it was an immature prick. But then the essay that Ala wrote was a little mean and harse, and I really didn't apperciate it but I also didn't want to get involved in a type of 'war' like situation so I choose to stay away from it all and just do my writing even if it does suck and I'm not one of those what was it 30 authors or something like that.
And Sin was right, they did go a little rule happy. I never did anything against the rules and I fixed all my stories and what not the day they made the rules because I wanted to just keep making my stories and not defy them.
Anyways..........my opinon is that this 'war' thing has gotten a little out of hand.

Hey peoples...I don't think anyone really noticed that I went missing off of the sight for about three weeks...oh yes, I died. lol. Anyways, if I may give my opinion, I'd like to. Usually, I don't really give any opinions unless I'm specifically asked for them. I just don't like to offend people. Not to say I'm wimp, but I'm more or less a wallflower. I stand there and listen....unless of course I'm with my friends, and then my opinion comes out ever two seconds and people can't get me to shut up. Just like now. So this is gonna be real long. Sorry, I just need somewhere to politely vent my thoughts. Anyways, I personally, can accept the E-morons thing, as some one messing around with the coding. *shrugs* It didn't really offend me at all and neither did Ala's essay. I think that whilst it wasn't really that mature (the banner...the essay was just an opinion, nothing more), it didn't do anybody harm. I mean it was a simple banner, they fixed it. And the rules, well I don't really see anything wrong with those either. As long as they don't start making up ridiculous rules such as, I don't know, not using the word 'penguine' or something like that. Ala's essay did bring down my spirits a lot but it also made me realize how much I needed to improve my writing and how pathetic some of my stuff was. I mean I gotta tell ya, I did need somebody to tell it to me straight, even if it wasn't personal. Do you understand what I'm saying? I know I'm rambling. Congrats if you got this far! I responded to each of your comments at the end of this! But yeah, I'm basically okay with everything, I think everything will cool down eventually...its just a matter of giving everyone time to sort themselve out (and everything else). Personally I'd love to say what I really think of e-fic and some of the people there but I would like to think that I'm above being an 'immature prick'. So I have said my opinion...only (in my opinion) a little more diplomatically...I don't want to offend anyone and even if people don't flame, they can still get offend easily. It's the human race. *shrugs* what can you do? Kali: I understand how you think you 'overreacted' and believe me, I think most people act before they think (no offense) heck I do all the time! But I think that whilst you're stubborn and no doubt think your pride would go down the drain, I think that you should rethink it; personally I think that everyone would be happy to see you back at e-fic. not that I'm trying to influence you in any way shape or form on your decision, so don't get me wrong - I just wanted to comment (forgive me if I've said anything at all to offend you!). Had I been you, I'd probably have done the same thing (and believe me, I soo wanted to...but I didn't cause I knew I'd regret it). And hey, what do teachers know? They make less sense than the rest of us sometimes....no seriously, when I think about it, my six year old sister makes more sense sometimes. Just sometimes. Sin: I agree with you. People do tend to overreact, and hey I did the same thing, I just thought about it all for a half hour before I did any posting of any kind...otherwise, you can say I overreacted to...on my pillow aka some people almost made me cry...and I'm not one to do that very often. I'm not sure I understand what you wrote though, what's infuriating? The people or the banner? I'm confuzzled... Audie Smith: Yes, it definitely has gotten out of hand. People take things too seriously, in my opinion sometimes, but hey we're all human and we're all entitled to our mistakes. That's what I'm trying to keep in mind through out this whole 'war' as you put it. Personally I'm trying my best to stay out of it. But I do need to vent my opinions to fellow authors sometimes. Keeping it all inside just makes me depressed (there goes me overreacting. Seriously.). So yes, I'm sorry if I'm taking up a lot of space on this message board.

You're totally right, you know that? I should go back and maybe I will but right now I'm grounded... Mainly cuz of my ex-best friend. Anyways, off topic, I think I will go back on as soon as I'm ungrounded and if then the site hasn't gone down the drain (I know it changed into fictionzone or something) then I'll repost. I'm just hoping that some people won't hate me for leaving. I mean, I needed some time to think and cool off and now I think I'm a lot better off for it. So, thanks for giving your opinion to me! LOL!

Yeah, it's called fictionzone now, and they've banned the use of blanks in cyoas and insert yous. I've changed my fics but with all the contraversy about it all, I'm not so sure if I'm going to stay there. I'm not leaving because of the rules, but just because it's gotten way too war-like over there. I mean it's not so bad that nothing gets done but nobody seems to understand that the admin has the final descision and any amount of whining won't change it. I guess it's a result of imaturity and anger but it's still rather annoying. So if you can stand to change all your fics etc (we have until November something or other), welcome back, if not, well, I don't blame you.

I know what all of you mean. I deleted all of my stories because I don't have the time to change them with school and writing a book and all that stuff. Plus I feel if I change my work just so it can stay on one site then it wouldn't feel like my work any more and there would be no joy in writing it. Only a burden.
So I decided to leave with out making a noise. Leave in the silent darkness of the background and let the war wage on for a small trival purpose.

Yeah. Since I wrote that review I have decided not to go back. (sighs) I'm so fickle sometimes! Anyways, I didn't know that they actually banned the blanks from the stories. So now what? You have to name the readers or something? Is that it?? I'm so confizzled at times!! LOL!

Actually it's expected that you will be able to improve your skills and work around writing with out blanks. Otherwise, yeah, name the characters...if you want to know more go and read the comments section of Teddy's latest rules post. It's quite amusing, I dare say.
