*Takes a deep breath* Alright people, my first one-shot. Hopefully it’ll be up to everyone’s standards.
Also I actually have nothing against Tea (though the character in the story does), she’s actually okay in my book. She makes thing interesting on the show.
Disclaimer: I do not own Yugioh

You sigh; there she went again, off on one of her lovely friendship rants. When is she going to get the picture? You don’t care. Period.
Tea Gardner. She could be the bane of your existence, if the spirit of the millennium ring hadn’t already taken the spot. She definitely has made second place though.
Your rivalry with Bakura had started back in grade six, ever since that idiot had decided to introduce you to the friendship brigade otherwise known as Yugi and friends. That was one of the reasons you loathed him so. Ever since he had decided to play the part of ‘nice little Ryou’ and introduce you to Yugi and co. they had considered you a friend. No matter how much you glared at them or ditched them, – easier said then done – they had kept on you.
When is she gonna shut up? RA! I must have done something pretty evil in my past life to be tortured like this! This had become your theory on why you had to put up with Yugi and co. somewhere between grades seven and eight. These were the years when duel monsters had come out and had become popular a few years later in Domino, Japan.
Personally, you found the fact that Yugi won a tournament and was named “The King of Games” amusing. The kid had won a card game tournament…..how did that relate to all games anyways?
“(Your first name)! Are you even listening to me anymore?” Tea asks, you can tell she is trying not to lose her cool.
“Was I ever?” You ask as you yawn, to make you point totally clear.
“HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?” Tea yells as the room went quiet and everyone stares at you. Minus Kaiba…he still has his nose in his computer. Figures.
“Take a picture.” You snap as half of the class turns back to what they had been doing. The other half is still starring. This includes most people who have an association with Tea (or Yugi) and the two people who have an acquaintanceship with you. Bakura and Malik.
“Do what?” You turn back to Tea, your audiences’ eyebrows raise at this. You normally would have stalked off while ignoring her shouting behind you…but today you had to blow off a little steam, so you figure a nice argument would definitely do you some good.
Tea takes a deep breath obviously trying to calm herself. “How can you just ignore people? Why can’t you care about others? Why are you so closed up?”
“Why?” You repeat and she nods. “It’s none of your business why and I do care about others, just not you and your gang. Listen, I am neither your friend nor anyone else’s. I never will be. So stop harassing me with your rants.”
“B-but…but.” Tea stutters as you watched tears fill her eyes. You turn your back and walk slowly out of the classroom hearing Tea run towards her friends. You knew you’d take heat for this from Joey and Tristan later. Oh well, you shrug, you had nothing to say to those two, you’d tell ‘em to beat it.
What a nuisance, let’s hope she got the message this time. You thought to yourself, you had been ignoring her for a few years now. You thought she’d have gotten the point by now. But she hadn’t, and so you told it to her straight and this was the turn out of the event. You knew any second now, Joey and/or Tristan would catch up with you and demand to know what the hell you had just done.
You heard footsteps of someone walking up behind you. Here we go again, you sighed. “What?” You ask menacingly with out turning around.
“Why did you do that?” It was neither Joey nor Tristan, but Ryou. You could definitely tell by the soft English accent.
“She was aggravating me.” You answer simply.
“You really hurt her.”
“So? It’s a dog eat dog world. Hurt or be hurt.” You replied, not raising your voice, though for some reason you would have if it had been someone other than Ryou.
“Have you ever been in the latter situation?”
“Does it really matter? It’s not like anyone truly cares.” You retort, your tone sounding the slightest bit down and out.
“I care.”<br>
“Yeah, and so does Tea, and so does Yugi and so does Joey… the list goes on. What is it with you people? Why can you not accept the fact that we will never live in a perfect world? No matter how much love and caring there is, it won’t stop anyone from getting hurt. It is pointless – I speak from personal experience.” Your tone is now back-on-track. Steady, ruthless and cold.
“We can accept it and it is not pointless.” Ryou states as you turn around ready to confront him, only to see that Bakura has taken over. Great, stuck with the sadistic spirit…oh well, better than a friendship freak.
“Hello Bakura.” You say evenly, glaring at the spirit.
“For once I say you should listen to my hikari.” His cold, arrogant and rough tone surrounds you.
“You actually agree? I’m surprised at you Bakura.” You reply glaring (so much for an acquaintance, now he’s on their side!), as your voice matches his tone perfectly.
