Summary: You, my friend, just found out that you’re a witch. You always believed that you weren’t exactly ‘normal’ but now that your parents came right out and told you that you were a witch and you would be going to a school called Hogwarts you can’t help but be surprised. Turns out that the Headmaster of the school decided to accept you into his school even though technically you would be in sixth year. It’s been three years since your parents told you that and you had been getting private lessons so now you’re completely caught up with your classmates. What insanities will ensue when you go to school there? (Takes place during Marauder’s times) Reader/Remus with slight Reader/Sirius and one-sided Reader/Peter; James/Lily; Sirius/OC
Karena: What’s up?! I felt like writing a reader-insert fic for Harry Potter and since I’ve been reading nothing but Remus and Sirius fics I felt like writing one in their times…I’ve been reading Severus fics too for that matter…
Valerie: Who they gonna end up with?
Karena: (shrugs) I don’t know yet…Hmm, I’m leaning towards Sirius or Severus…but Remus is in the mix too…
Valerie: (nods)
Karena: Anyways, for the first chapter! And please tell me if you think that I’m Harry Potter material! I might actually write a fic in Harry’s time…
“Name, Last Name if you don’t hurry up then you’re not going to be able to catch the train for Hogwarts!” Your mother’s voice reverberates up the stairs and makes you realize that she was right. You quickly snap the book you had been reading closed and shove it in your purse while lugging your trunk downstairs. Your dad quickly grabs it and throws it into the car outside that your parents call their own. You sigh and put your purse over your shoulders, seeing as it’s a backpack purse kind of thing.
“Mum,” You say, glancing at her with your color eyes that are the exact same shade as her own. She glances at you and smiles. “Are you sure you want to get rid of me, mum?”
“We’re sure Name.” Your father says and you know that he’s not trying to be mean. He’s just trying to tell you that this is for the best for you. “Now, get in the car now so we can head off for King’s Cross station.”
You nod and quickly scurry into the car, shutting the door behind you. Your mom gets into the passenger seat while your dad starts the car up and drives of. You quickly glance back at your color house and then it’s gone for you have turned a corner onto the highway. It only takes about thirty minutes before your dad drives into the station and lugs your trunk out. You take it from him and smile.
“Now, you have to go onto Platform 9¾. We’re sorry we can’t come with you dear but we have something to do today for work.” Your mother says, speaking quickly as she rushes you to what appears to be Gate 9 and Gate 10. “You just run strait at it. Don’t worry about hitting anything. We’re off!” And then she jogged away. You glanced at the basket that was sitting on top of your trunk to make sure your cat Snowball is still there and then nod briskly. You take a running start and then close your eyes, fearing the impact of the wall.
When none comes you open your eyes and realize you’re on another platform. A swinging sign clearly states that your at the right platform so you hurry forward and are somehow able to lug your trunk up into the train and then into an empty compartment along with the basket that holds your white cat that has orange strips all over her. You quickly set her down and shove your trunk to a far side of the room before sitting down and taking out your book.
“Right,” You murmur to yourself while opening the plump book as you slowly flicked through the pages, trying to find the place you had been reading before you had to leave your home. “Where did I leave off last?”
You had been reading for about ten minutes when a whistle rips through the air, clearly stating that the train is about to leave. You scoot over and glance out the window, smiling wide as you see the train start to inch forward and gain speed. You were going to your new school! Oh goody!
“Lily?!” Came a voice from the doorway and you turned just in time to see the compartment door fly open and four boys march in. Your eyes widen and meet a pair of hazel eyes that were staring at you and then looked disappointed. “Oh. You’re not Lily.”
“Calm down James. We should just stay here.” Said another boy with dark black hair and dark blue eyes. He glanced at you and smiled flirtatiously but you just blinked and then went back to reading your book, completely ignoring the other four boys.
“Hey.” Said a voice from in front of you. Glancing up, you noticed that the boys had all sat down, you quickly snatched up the basket with your cat in it and set it on your lap before looking at the boy with dark blue eyes that had spoken to you. “You’re new here aren’t you?”
“Yeah.” You said, nodding.
“What house are you in and what year?” Asked another boy with dark brown hair. You glanced at him and then sighed, knowing by now that these boys weren’t going to let you read until you had answered some of their questions. You snapped your book closed and laid it beside you.
“Gryffindor and sixth.” You answered bluntly, looking around at them all boredly. You had to come to Hogwarts early the first time, by floo powder, and have the sorting hat sort you. It had been kind of a weird experience since your parents had always kept it a secret that you were a witch but it was okay now. That had been a few weeks ago.
“Really?” Asked a mousy haired little boy who reminded you distinctly of a rat. “Why haven’t we seen you before?”
“This is my first year at Hogwarts.” You answered, shrugging. “Oh and I’m Name, Last Name before anyone asks me.”
“Remus Lupin.”
“Sirius Black.”
“James Potter.”
“Peter Pettigrew.”
“Pleasure.” You stated blandly before opening your book once again and continuing to read it without even listening to the boys anymore.
“Lily!!” James yelled the next time the door opened (about five minutes later) and you looked up to see a girl with red-bronze hair and almond shaped green eyes. She sighed, exasperated, when she saw James.
“What Potter?” She asked, apparently not really delighting in his company.
“You came to find me!”
“No, I came to find an empty compartment.”
You watched as the two of them bickered, well more like Lily bickered and James was just happy to see her. You raised an eyebrow but decided to ignore this so you went back to reading your book. After about ten minutes of arguing Lily came in and sat down on the other side of you, towards the window. Apparently there weren’t any seats left so she had to sit in here. She turned to you and smiled.
“I’m sorry. I don’t believe we’ve met.” She said and held out her hand. You set your book down in your lap and smiled slightly at her, accepting her hand and shaking it. “I’m Lily Evans. Who’re you?”
“Name, Last Name.” You replied smoothly and then picked up your book again and resumed reading.
“Don’t talk much do you?” Asked Serious watching you with a perplexed expression. Apparently he had never met a girl who wouldn’t throw herself on him before and you were slightly confusing to him. You just stared at him blandly before returning to your book. “Hey. HEY! Are you even listening to me?!”
“I thought that would be obvious by now Padfoot.” Said James and then laughed. “At least we know there’s one girl out there who can ignore your devilish charms! Besides Lily of course!” And then he went back to flirting with the red head that now glared at him slightly with much contempt.
You were about to begin your new journey and it was going to be at Hogwarts…

Karena: Well, please tell me what you think. Thanks!
Karena: Hey everyone! Thank you all so much for the reviews (if you even gave me any. I don’t check until after I post chapters. That’s the way I am with all of my fics actually… *sweatdrops*)
Valerie: Rocker.
Karena: (sweatdrops) You got that phrase from me…
Valerie: Stellar?
Karena: That one too…Anyways, here’s the next chapter!
“We better put our robes on.” Sirius stated bluntly and winked at you when you glanced at him from over top of your book. You raised an eyebrow at him but sighed and snapped your book closed nonetheless. Lily tugged on your sleeve, causing you to turn towards her.
“You can come with me to another compartment to change.” She whispered to you, glancing at the boys especially Sirius. You nodded and got up, rummaging through your trunk you quickly pulled out your black robes and followed Lily out of the room and into another compartment where apparently her other friends were. There weren’t any more seats which also explained why she was sitting in the compartment you had been in.
You quickly changed into your robes and then entered the compartment to see the boys were all ready done. “We’re going to be at Hogwarts in five minutes.” Remus told you smiling slightly at you. You smiled back at him and slipped your book back into your backpack/purse. You quickly picked up your basket with Snowball and then lugged your trunk down from above the seat you had been sitting on.
Slowly the train pulled to a halt and you followed the four boys off of the train. You glanced around and realized you had no idea where you were going. “This way.” Said Lily as she popped up beside you. You jumped and turned towards her, seeing that she was smiling brightly at you. “We’re in the same house and that means we’re going to be sharing the same dorm room so we might as well be friends, huh?”
“Yeah.” You said, nodding and smiling at her. You followed her into a carriage to see that Sirius, Remus, and James were sitting across from the two of you and you had to sit next to Peter in the middle with Lily on the other side.
“LILY!” James yelled, instantly ruffling his hair at the sight of her. “You came to talk to me!”
“No I didn’t.” Lily stated bluntly, glaring at the hazel-eyed boy. “I only came in here because it was the closest carriage with enough space for two people.”
“Too bad Prongs.” Sirius said, smirking at James slightly. “You lost again.”
“It’s nice to see you again.” Remus said to you and you smiled at him and nodded while placing your basket in your lap.
“What’s in that?” Peter asked, pointing at the basket. You smiled at him and lifted the lid, revealing your cat that couldn’t be over a year old. It yawned and looked up at you, blinking lazily. You smiled wider and picked it up, pulling it out of its basket.
“Her name is Snowball.” You stated and hugged the cat lightly before setting her down in your lap where she clearly watched Peter with great interest (A/N: He’s a rat, remember?). Peter’s face lost all color and he screeched slightly causing you to jump in alarm. “What?! Are you afraid of cats?!”
“Yeah!” Peter wailed and scooted away from you and squashed himself against the carriage wall. “And for good reason too!”
“Why?” You asked, clearly confused. Why would anyone be scared of your cat? She couldn’t even harm a mouse even if she wanted to!
“I can’t tell you but it’s a good reason!” Peter said, his voice high pitched. Sirius and James erupted into laughter by this point and even Lily looked like she was resisting the urge to laugh at the smaller boy. You just sighed and put Snowball back into her basket; setting the lid down on top of it so Peter wouldn’t have to look at her anymore. “Thank you.” He stated, nodding at you and looking like he was now going to worship you forever. You gave him a weird look but decided to disregard that look.
“So, have you met anyone else yet?” James asked, leaning forward and glancing at Lily for a split second before ruffling his hair and turning back to you. You shook your head. You hadn’t met anyone else besides the people you were traveling with in this carriage right now. With a sudden jerky stop that caused you to nearly lose your balance the carriage stopped and everyone filed out of his or her carriages.
The castle was beautiful. You had never actually seen it really because you had been flooed into Dumbledore’s office and then back to your home after being sorted. You were happy to see that it was large and breath taking, making you happy that you were here. You would probably get lost very easily.
“Come on!” Lily said, taking your hand and tugging you towards the front doors. They flew open to reveal a scraggly caretaker and you skirted around him so as not to anger him or anything. Lily led you into a large place that you took to be the Great Hall. You smiled and glanced up at the ceiling, noticing that it reflected the sky outside with white fluffy clouds dotting the ever-blue sky every once in awhile. “This is where you come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.”
“Okay.” You said, following her to a large table that had a red and gold flag over top of it with a Griffin on it rearing up onto its hind legs. You smiled and sat down next to her since you had left your trunk outside the train where they would transport it to wherever it needed to go since they had clearly stated that you didn’t need to lug it to school. You glanced upwards and smiled. You could get use to this place. It was really pretty.
An old man with a gray beard and gray hair stood up and everyone instantly fell silent, watching him with excited eyes. He smiled down at all of the students and you decided to smile back. “Welcome to a new year at Hogwarts. The caretaker here, Mr. Young, would like me to remind all of you that any jokes or dung bombs from Zonkos are forbidden. They will be confiscated if found. On a lighter note I would like to welcome our new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Miss Yates. She has kindly accepted to teach this year and I would like everyone to treat her nicely. Now, without further ado, let the feast begin.”
With that the golden plates in the middle of all of the tables filled with delicious foods and your mouth opened in awe. Never had you seen so many different kinds of foods and to top it all off they had just appeared there like magic! ‘It was magic,’ You reminded yourself, smiling slightly as you helped yourself to some food. ‘This place might not be so bad.’
“Hey Lily!” Said a girl from across from you. You glanced up and saw that Lily had waved at her happily while eating a bite of mashed potatoes. “Oh! Hi! I’ve never seen you before!” Said the girl, turning and smiling at you.
“I’m (Your Full Name).” You greeted and you both shook hands briefly before deciding not to risk the fact that you might have your hands pushed into foods.
“I’m Beverly Taylor. It’s a pleasure to meet you (Name).” Beverly said, smiling as she sat down and began to pile foods onto her plates. She was clearly a brunette with dark brown hair that fell in slight curls to her shoulders, dark black eyes, and pale skin. “I’m Gryffindor incase you hadn’t realized that since I’m sitting at the table for it…”
You laughed and then sighed, this place was going to be loads of fun! After a few minutes of quietly eating you noticed that all of the food disappeared and then desserts appeared, making you open your mouth in awe.
“So,” Beverly said while shoving a cookie into her mouth. She chomped for a few minutes before continuing. “What are you? My mom is a muggle but my dad is a wizard. Mom didn’t really like it at first when she realized I was a witch but she got over it when she realized my twin brother Scott was ‘normal’ in her opinion. She still loves me though.”
“Oh. My mum is a witch and my dad is a wizard.” You replied and then noted that Beverly had a different accent from everyone else here, well a few others had her accent but you noted that hers was different from yours and Lily’s. You turned to Lily, deciding to ask Beverly about that after you heard her answer.
“Oh. Both of my parents are muggles…you don’t hate me for that, do you (Name)?” Lily asked slowly, looking at you with her deep green eyes. You smiled and shook your head.
“Why would I?” You asked and then laughed when the other two did. You turned back to Beverly. “You’re not from England are you?”
“Nope! I’m from the States! My father was ecstatic when I got into Hogwarts. Thought I would probably get into an American school or something or other.” Beverly replied with a slight shrug. “My brother was green with envy! I swear; I could have popped him from swelling up so much when he held in his breath! It was so funny!”
“Oh.” You said, nodding. Suddenly all of the food disappeared and Lily and Beverly got up.
“I have to go lead the first years and everyone. See ya all around!” Lily said, hurrying forward to where you could now see Remus standing. Beverly fell into step beside you and you followed her to where you were all supposed to be going.
“I’m so scared of getting lost!” You said, glancing around at all of the other hallways that you could easily go down instead of the one you were supposed to. Beverly, who had snatched another cookie before they had disappeared and was munching on it as the two of you walked, turned to you with slightly raised eyebrows.
“You just transfer?” She asked and you quickly explained to her your situation. “Cool! I never heard of something like that being allowed but that’s cool all the same. Luckily for you that you’ve had three years to catch up since your third year so now you’re up to everyone else! That’s cool though!”
You both walked into a large room (Common Room), which was only open because the Head Boy (Remus) and Girl (Lily) had told the password and allowed it open. Quickly, you followed Beverly into another room where you noticed your trunk and basket were by an empty bed. You and Beverly seemed to be the last to enter because Beverly went over to the last unoccupied bed.
“Hey (Name)!” Lily said and you noted that she had the bed next to your own. “The password is Fortuna Major. Just in case you didn’t know!”
“Oh.” You said, nodding. “That would help in order to get in here wouldn’t it?”
“Yeah that would!” Beverly said loudly from the bed across the room she was occupying. You noticed that there were there other girls in here who were quickly introduced as Patty, Jesse, and Sicily. You smiled at each of them before getting all of your stuff set up so you wouldn’t have to worry later on and getting your uniform out for the next morning. You quickly dressed into your pajamas in a bathroom that adjoined the room you were sharing with the other girls and then slid into bed.
First day of school was tomorrow and you had no clue how you were going to survive it!

Karena: So, tell me, how did I do on that chapter?
Valerie: Are you sure that Remus and Lily were Head Boy and Girl?
Karena: Uh…no but just go with me. If someone else knows different then please tell me! Thanks! Oh and don’t worry, I’m not going to have that many OCs. Someone told me once that my fics were bad because I had to many OCs…(in an email they told me anyways…). Please review!
